Movie Review: Great movie, less funny
Summary: 5 Stars
Although this movie wasn't as funny as "Diary of a Mad Black Woman", there were some better one-liners: (without spoiling the movie, I'll give hints) "I vacation there," the cast iron skillet & grits fight explanation, the Tupac comment, and the casket joke.
This movie is about the tale of two sisters: one who has a troubled background and is struggling to love a man, the other who's struggling to meet her mother's expectations although her mother is all about money. Blaire Underwood was stunning on "The Tyra Banks Show" when he mentioned how fine his wife was and very cute on this movie as well. The character he played seemed so different from his usual demeanor, so I felt he played the most remarkable role. The new lady who played the wife-to-be is such a pretty woman and a great actress. I wish her the best of luck in her next movie. Ofcourse Boris Kodjoe was charming and Tyler Perry was debonair, as usual.
There were the usual funny scenes like the family reunion, the older women preaching on young folks and good love, the dirty old men with crass humor, and Tyler Perry as both Madea and the Dirty Old Man. I think this man is so talented and I am a big fan, so I would support this movie and all his plays. I love his improv during the closing scenes too! *Clapping*
