Movie Reviews of Two Can Play That GameMovie Review: And when they play, it's awfully fun! Summary: 4 StarsThe first time I seen this movie, it was at three o'clock in the mourning at one of htose hotels with those ... beds that you can't sleep on and it was on our free HBO television. See the movie is about this woman who tries to control her boyfriend with her stupid rules. She talks to the camera as if she is talking to you and she is giving you advice with your man. However, it turns out that you shouldn't be playing the game the way she turns out to be playing it. But unfortantely, you get to see the outcome before you take her advice, her friends couldn't and they suffered from her advice. But you see when she finds out that her own boyrfiend is "cheating" on her. You may wonder what the ""'s mean. See he told her that he was working late- which he was, it was just after he had finished he went out with a friend to a club. But you see this friend of his was actually his girlfriend's arch rival. And she catches him there in the club when she is with her female friends. She doesn't sweat it though. She has her plan that will get him back in line IMMEDIATLY. However, her plan doesn't work when her boyfriend starts listening to his best friend. They both sit desperately and try to make each other jealous by hanging all over other guys and girls. Eventually the games end and the two get together- now was that predicatable? LOL. But it doesn't matter. Trust me this is a really good movie that you should be ordering immedaitly. Well that's all and I am so out. HOLLA!
Movie Review: cute and funny Summary: 4 StarsIf you want to laugh and smile, then this is a good movie for that. Ms. Fox and Mr. Chesnut are not the stars, Mr. Chesnut's buddy is the star if you ask me. He is worth the rental..he's funny...
Movie Review: Great movie! Summary: 4 StarsI really enjoy this movie. I laugh every time I see it. The only complaint that I really have about this DVD is the special features...meaning that...their aren't that many! What's the point of having a DVD if you're not going to have at least SOME GOOD (good is the keyword) special features? I don't know...I just thought the special features were kind of a disappointment! No deleted scenes or alternate endings...just whack interviews.

I had to laugh during some of the 10 step's in this film~ Why? Because some of it I've played the Game that way myself~ and it worked, well to a degree~If you are looking for a "Fun Film"~ buy this one ~ The whole Cast was nothing but perfection~ It was IMO a good Film~ Buy it yourself and "Enjoy"~
Movie Review: Above Par Summary: 4 StarsThis would be standard middle-brow entertainment were it not for three factors that I'll discuss in a little bit. The concept, that women can be as deft "players" of the field as men, is certainly not new to most. It may be new to A level films, and it probably is new to director/producer Mark Brown, the creator of HOW TO BE A PLAYER. But it is not a concept new to almost any B level direct-to-video thriller, anything on Cinemax after 11pm, or to any newspaper. Women have almost always been better players (see Anna Nicole Smith, Leona Helmsley, that maid that married the Johnson & Johnson fortune, and almost all of the guests on either Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones, or Ricki Lake). But, this movie does have an easy going pace and sound track that combine to make it as smooth as a ride in Shante's convertible Jaguar. What makes the film stay slightly above average is the presence of the three lead thespians. First of all, let it be said that Anthony Anderson does in fact walk away with this film. He simply owns every second that he is on screen (including the out takes at the end). His natural and easy manner combined with impeccable comic timing simply makes him the de facto owner of the material, the screen, and the film as a whole. Next, Morris Chestnut, whether given a lot or a little (like here) to do simply comes off as likable. And in the main role, few actresses - good looking or not - could carry off the part that Vivica A. Fox plays. The film would not be believable were it not for this particular actresses commanding presence and astonishing good looks. She, like her character, is someone who has worked her looks and her intelligence to get exactly what she wants out of life, and she is not afraid to show it. So, if you go in not expecting too much, you will come out pleasantly surprised. A 7 out of 10.
