Movie Review: you know you'll love the story

Am I ever out of step with the reviews here! Nevertheless, I just loved this picture. Sensual, for sure, but this flick has many unexpected, and curious turns, enough to keep at least me engaged--particularly given its maker. It brings together fine acting, a thoughtful script, and a new slant on the notion of globalization (catch how English gets interjected, really cute)--and besides, it is entertaining! Like I said, I just loved it. For those seeking a deeper theoretical understanding, query just what does it mean to be 'gay?' Watch this flick and you'll wonder just how Western this idea might be.
Summary of Twilight Dancers
From the depths of a soft-focus blur. a gorgeous young man emerges. He is stripped of all clothing save for tight briefs, and gyrates slowly to the sensuous music. Then another nearly naked boys appears behind him, and then another. Soon the screen is filled with a bevy of oiled, sinuous bodies in motion all for the pleasure of the audience.In the Philippines, dancing draws young men seeking work to Manila s gay bars. Their stories have much in common: working to support families or their own ambitions, preyed upon by men with money and desire, used up long before they hit thirty.
Twilight Dancers tells the story of young Dwight (Tyron Perez), a fresh newcomer to the dance bars, and his part time lover Alfred (Allen Dizon), who at 28 is already on his way down, as the two negotiate the perils of the world of back stabbing and bitch slapping that is dancing for money.
