Movie Review: Historically accurate, very well done.
Summary: 5 Stars
Not much to add over what has already been said. I am a history fanatic and really enjoyed this movie! I've read McCullough's book and like most movie adaptations, there's much that had to be left out because of time, but the story is told well.
Truman is probably my favorite President over all others, I think based on his integrity, humility, and ability to rise to any occasion or challenge that came his way.

Truman is the brilliant adaption of one of America's greatest presidents during one of its most challenging times. Truman assumed the presidency at the sudden death of Franklin Roosevelt, and the "moons, the stars, and all the planets" fell on his shoulders.
Gary Sinise gives a tour de force portrayal as Truman and Diana Scarwid is brilliant as the unasuming Bess Truman.

this movie was a great portrayal of a man who was a good leader thru difficult times,it seems like the presidents before and after had a difficult time, but not like harry truman. his decission to fire general macarthur, was probablythe worst decision he made, but generally his difficult decisions were for the best interest of the people he served

This is the story of a humble man who, not of his own choosing, stubbernly was called upon to make one of the most serious decisions of any man: Drop the first nuclear weapons devised by man to save lives. The portrayal by Gary Sinse and others was excellent and noteworthy to see it again, and again!
