Movie Reviews of Tron (20th Anniversary Collector's Edition)

Movie Review: INTERESTING
Summary: 4 Stars

I really like this film, I think I like it more now than when I saw it as a teenager. Anyways, two quick points here. First, is that "speed-cycle" scene incredible or what?! Fantastic. Also, how about the bad guys' computer desk that he uses to work with MasterControl? It is STILL one of the most radical computers ever, in history! If I were in control of a large computer company or whatever, my computer would look just like his! Is it just me, or does it remind anyone of the upcoming iPhone? cheers

Movie Review: Extras are boring
Summary: 3 Stars

I love Tron, it is a great movie. The extras, however, were terrible. The only deleted scene was terrible, and to watch it, you had to listen to the director whine about how he shouldn't have cut the scene, but the scene was terrible. The rest of the extras were boring. I still recommend that if you like Tron, buy the DVD, just burn the bonus disk

Movie Review: TRON: Awesome 80's Sci-fi!
Summary: 4 Stars

When I first saw TRON in theaters back in '82 I was 11 years old and don't remember being that impressed with the film. Now, however, 25 years later (2007), TRON is easily one of my Top-10 all-time-favorite movies. Part of my love for the film is unquestionably nostalgia, a trait that only people growing up in the early 80's can relate too. Apart from that though, TRON was a groundbreaking computer animation movie designed by artists and animators with beautiful production values and a visually stunning look like no other. Admittedly the action in TRON is a little slow and draggy but the ambitious acting, especially contributed by Jeff Bridges and David Warner is excellent.
About the DVD - TRON 20th Anniversary Collectors Edition looks fantastic on an HDTV and has an excellent assortment of DVD extras. A great 88 minute "making of" documentary, movie commentary, concept production designs from futurists Syd Mead and Jean "Moebius" Giraud, and much more! A+ Highly Recommended!

Movie Review: Tron Movie
Summary: 4 Stars

I can't say I liked the movie, but it was bought as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves it! I guess it's a guy thang.

Movie Review: A Technical Classic and Masterpiece.
Summary: 5 Stars

Tron is a movie that will take your breath away. It is a pioneer in computer animation, and provides a look that is unique.

Besides the technical skills, I enjoy the movie because it deals with persecution of Christians. Okay, maybe not Christians per se, but the computer programs that have faith in a user are treated like second class citizens. As an area representative of Voice Of The Martyrs, I know this really goes on, though not inside the computer like Tron.
