Movie Review: A Warning to All
Summary: 5 Stars

This superb propaganda film is a warning for all generations. Germany had Hitler, well portrayed as a carnival medicine man, surrounded by puffed up, self-important people like Goering. Who is to say Huey Long of Louisiana would not have been America's replication had he lived? Mexico had Pancho Villa, Japan, Tojo. All countries seem subject to such seduction. That is why this is such an important film. We watch Hitler descend from the sky, almost angelic. The eyes of all who see him reflect glory, a new messiah. The audience swells to a cast of thousands, tens of thousands, and more. The soft speech evolves to staccato, the pauses in speech become more dramatic. Yes, "Hail Victory," Hail the leader.

Yes, hail the future. Large crowds of mindless apostates following the ultimate leader's call to "One country, one ideal, one leader (fuhrer)" could easily happen anywhere. Even America.

See this and tell all who will listen. It could happen here.

Movie Review: Leni Riefenstahl was Amazing and This Documentary is Film History
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a huge fan of early Documentaries. Like the internet is doing now, Film was the first way to truly unite the masses. Film allowed someone with a message to distribute it to as many people as they could. The biggest difference now is that the Internet can allow you to reach the masses CHEAP!!!

Leni Riefenstahl was a female Film Director in Nazi Germany. This film was commissioned by The Fuhrer himself. The techniques that she used were later duplicated by Legendary American War Documentary maker Frank Capra.

This movie chronicles the 6th Nazi Party Congress at Nuremberg and is clearly meant as pure German Propaganda. It does not depict ANY scenes of violence against any persons. Instead, it is aimed at the German people and it's youth as a device to draw support.

Movie Review: Triumph of Creativity
Summary: 5 Stars

Although the star of this film is among the most controversial men of the XXth Century, Leni Riefenstahl made a film of unprecedented power in 1934. The techniques she used are often used today, but the simple employment of camera angles and vistas combined with mesmerizng music tell the story that Hilter wanted told. It is spectacular as an historical document and in its comparative simplicity it is a extraordinary opportunity to see how films, lenses, and proportion can be used to tell a story or spin a tale. For me, it is the crystal ball that demonstrates how easy it is for genius to influence the masses and how this medium of visual imagery and music can persuade people in the millions to accept the leadership of a demagogue.

Movie Review: Great education tool.
Summary: 5 Stars

As a high school history teacher, I attempt to lead my students through the process of trying to understand the humanness of history: asking questions such as 'Why would the German people so gladly follow [...]?' and 'What was the appeal of Nazism?' Using this film (excerpts, especially the intro series and the youth rally), I find that students begin to process the growth and appeal of [...] Germany in a new way as well as discussing the ability to be manipulated by media and how we may be equally affected by it in today's society. The reviews below describing the content and quality of the work in detail are excellent--I just wanted to offer feedback about the beneficial use of the film in the classroom.

Movie Review: A Historical "MUST SEE"
Summary: 5 Stars

This film is an absolute must for any serious student of World War 2 or Nazi Germany or Adolph Hitler, or for any Christian as a study in false religions and idolatry, for that matter. One cannot speak with real authority on the techniques of the Nazi Party without viewing this film, uninterrupted, at least once. It is THE original political propagande film, the first ever made, and has more lessons to teach than can be listed here. This disc is well done, clear with subtitle options that are useful; the subtitles have been slightly reworded from the first English language translation dating back to the film's original release, but is still effective true to the spirit of German original. Excellent.
