Movie Review: NOW YOU'RE ONE OF US!!!

I first saw Tourist Trap back when it was first released in 1978 at a drive-in theater in Chico, California. It was on a double bill with the first Phantasm. WOW ... needless to say, it changed my life! It's my all-time favorite horror film.Chuck Connors has never been better, Tanya Roberts has never looked better and you just have to love a movie who's villian is a telekenetic, schizophrenic necrophile. :)
This movie has it all .... horror, tension and great laughs. When I was in college a few years after, I used the "Plasterman" monolouge for an acting class (got an A, by the way), and to this day the last scene of the film never ceases to give me goosebumps.
All in all, it's a great film to watch with your friends.
Movie Review: "Don't Worry....It's Just A Mannequin..."

All I can say is, what a FANTASTIC movie! The first time I ever watched it was on cable when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Of course, this movie ruined my sleep for many weeks afterwards, as it further fueled my "heebie jeebies" with mannequins, dolls, and the like. Even after 20 years of its release, "Tourist Trap" still continues to be a classic horror film, that's more frightening and nightmarish psychologically, than it is gory or bloody. So if you're tired of "Scream Part 19" and "I Could Care Less About What You Did Last Summer", and you're in the mood for a truly eerie and creepy movie, definitely check this gem out! They don't make 'em like this anymore, kids!Movie Review: Low budget..... but great movie !

Even it is a low budget exploitation, "Tourist trap" is really fascinating in its own way. The director David Schmoeller creates a thrilling and perfect cat-and-mouse game where's no escape for the victims. Chuck Connors provides a great performance and Tanja Roberts is one of the hotest babes I've ever seen on horror screens. She's absolutely delicious in her sexy shorts! And of course don't miss how the lovely Jocelyn Jones slowly becomes insane among the infernal mannequins of Mr. Slausen's wax museum. "Tourist trap" is a great horror flick which I'm happy to have in my collection. So if you like good horror movies with the little nostalgic touch of the seventies, you should buy this one. First of all, IT IS WIDESCREEN!, contrary to popular belief. There is no option for it in the menu, however. You must choose the tv aspect thru the setup options in your dvd player. It took me awhile to figure that out!! Ok...on with the review. Definitely my favorite 70s-80s horror movie. The kill scene at the beginning (one of the best ever) freaked me out when I was about 10 years old. The kill scene towards the end made MY heart stop! If you've seen it, you know what I mean. Tanya Roberts (HOTTIE) first movie, I believe. A must for any fan of 'b-movies.' Watch it , then watch it again with the running commentary---you'll learn a few things! A forgotten 80's gem. I remember watching this movie as a little girl and it scared me so bad that I had nightmares for a week. I had just purchased it after not seeing it for over $ years (women never tell their age--giggle) and it still gave me the creeps. Conners does a great job as a psycho. He and his mechanical mannequins are homicidal.
A bunch of teenagers get a flat tire in the boonies and tresspass on his land. At first he is hospitable, until he gains their trust (of course). They all get it one by one. I do not want to ruin the entire movie for those who have not had the pleasure. Pick up a copy, its fun!!
