Movie Reviews of Toto: Falling in Between LiveMovie Review: FIB LIVE Summary: 5 Stars
This is definetly a damn good buy. I must say that as much as i enjoyed the FIB Concert In Malaysia, getting to watch it live was truly a blessing and the memories will linger on forever.
Buying this just makes it more memorable and I would highly recommend it to all music lovers and ToTo Fans... Great Footage, Great Close-ups right in the flesh and excellent Sound. Nice interview too with the band. Truly Amazing Buy. Get It while It's Hot.
I also bought Past To Present. Now This Is A Classic. We get to witness Jeff in clips like he is climaxing on the drums, We see Bobby attacking the mic wonderfully, we see Mike looking good, David looking cool and Luke looks exactly like Lief Garret ha ha ha... This is awesome. Classic.
If you are A Real Fan get this too. Cameo apperance like Paula Abdul, Byron, Joseph Willams on vocals, Michael Macdonald on I'll Be Over You and Tower Power too wow for a real Steal...
Movie Review: Magnificent Summary: 5 Stars
Toto fans have waited a long time for this DVD seeing as it was recorded 11 months ago. However, the band wanted to ensure that this, like the album, was exactly what they wanted. It was well worth the wait and only one word can sum up this...Magnificent. If there is one Toto DVD that you must buy then this is it. The camera work and sound are a million miles better than any of the previous releases. For those who saw Toto on tour it will bring back the wonderful memories of a band despite now being 30 years old continues to evolve and seek perfection. The play list encompasses the whole of their career to date including four songs from the Falling In Between album. The added extras are interviews with each band member who toured and not the video clips that are on the official website (the making of Falling in between). It terms of value for money it's top notch....142 minutes of one of the most underrated bands in the World.
Movie Review: Wow Summary: 5 Stars
I have heard Toto occasionally over the decades - usually at petrol stations or drifting out of neighbouring houses. They sounded uncomfortably too commercial for my taste, so it was with some surprise when I heard a few samples from this DVD on YouTube. Now that I've bought it, I am very impressed at the quality of musicianship and compositions. As a friend said to me when I played it to him the other night, "...maaan they kick ass!" Thankfully, I'd never heard him use that expression before, but he's right!
I am in danger of boring my friends as I repeatedly tell them what a brilliant concert this is. There's a guy at work who smirked when I told raved on about this concert. He'll be smirking no more when I give him my disc and get the Blu-ray version for myself.
Movie Review: Buy it now!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have followed this group my whole life, and only wish they had more quality DVD's like this one availble. These guys are the best, no doubt whatsoever.
I am scared after looking at there web-site that they may be getting tired of the touring as nothing is on the books. I certainly hope they put out some new material within the next year or so as I think they have really hit their "writing stride" The new music on Falling in Between sounds new and fresh and one would think this would be hard to do for a band that has been around for three decades.
In short buy this DVD and turn it up. It will help if you have listened to the new CD, so if you haven't buy it also.
Doug - out
Movie Review: One Word - Masterpiece! Summary: 5 Stars
It is a shame that Toto never really got their just due here in the USA, but the rest of the world knew real talent...
Some of us here in the states did too...but never got enough Toto because of lack of touring in the USA. Not the fault of Toto...
The DVD's are all we have now. This DVD and 25th anniversary Live in Amsterdam are absolutely stellar performances by one of the greatest bands of all time. 30 years and always producing new material...not just living off the past. I highly recommend you check them out, you won't be disappointed! Toto - 25th Anniversary (Live in Amsterdam)
