Movie Reviews of Total Recall 2070Movie Review: Better than the Movie Summary: 5 Stars
Well I'm just basically here to echo it really is the Blade Runner TV series. If you liked the atmosphere in that Movie, then come home to the TV series Total Recall 2070. Why this didn't take off is beyond me?
Its much better than some other stuff that has had a good run, because it has actual character development. Someone mentioned a better time slot would've been more appropriate. This is a ship that shouldn't of sunk.
I came here after viewing the entire series at Hulu, looking to see how many seasons were here to purchase and wondering how this series got past my Sci-Fi fan radar, but it turns out it got past a lot of folks...and the full series isn't even on DVD?! This is one of those shows that with the correct exposure would've definitely become popular. Someones lenses in the Sci-Fi entertainment industry needs adjusting. This should've gone so much further...buts its not the first time I've seen the plug pulled on good stuff. This rocks compared to about 3 Sci-Fi other shows off the top I can think of, that had several seasons. I wish I could name them, but thats how much I cared to remember them. This one I remember. Whats up with you guys out there man, you need to bring this show back. Cutting this one was a 'lacking insight' move.
Movie Review: Amazing science fiction- no comparison Summary: 5 Stars
I have never before seen a show that offered such a perfect mixture of science fiction, action and suspense. The characters are believable, the set is masterful and the storyline is engaging. It is the most compelling, adult entertainment that I have ever enjoyed. In fact, I was so impressed with it that I made a point of programming it on my set, looking up its associated web sites and now contacting Showtime to continue support of this unique program. This show deserves a chance - and the audience is out there to support it. I will tell you one thing that is lacking though - IT NEEDS MARKETING! I never knew it was out there until I happened on it by accident. Now I make a point of watching it every weekend and I guarantee that if it were marketed appropriately it would gather a huge following. It is definitely worth buying, worth watching and worth supporting!
Movie Review: Dark, brooding, intelligent series Summary: 5 Stars
This is nothing like the Arnold movie, which is good because I thought that one stunk. It is instead the pilot for an excelent series that takes place in a crowded, dirty, emotionally barren city where you never see the ground or daylight. I am not sure how well this stands on its own, as I had seen many episodes before I saw the pilot, but I am a big fan of the series as a whole. Cyndy Preston, the actress that plays Hume's wife, does not do a good job in this episode, but gets a better later.
Movie Review: I Liked This Short Series A LOT - I Hope All Episodes Eventually Make It To DVD Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed this one-season series when it first aired on Showtime. In fact, this series was the only reason I became a Showtime subscriber, and I cancelled my subscription right after this series was cancelled. My understanding is that Total Recall 2070 wasn't renewed because Michael Easton no longer wanted to continue with the series. Too bad. I thought the plot, characters, mood, and special effects were terrific. I hope that all episodes eventually make it to DVD.
Movie Review: Way underrated Summary: 5 Stars
This "movie" is the first two episodes of an awesome TV series. It is a captivating blend of 80% Blade Runner, 15% Total Recall, and 5% Data from Star Trek. The plot is dark and intriguing. Character development is excellent. Cyberpunk 2020 role-playing fans should love this. I just hope that episodes 3-22 come out on DVD - the sooner, the better.
