I wasn't that anxious to get my hands on this DVD because I wondered why TOOL hadn't just combined the two DVDs (Schism + Parabola). Anyways, my mom bought it as a present. I was thankful...this is my review:
I am impressed with the MENU animation as well as the video. Of course this video blows most other music videos completely out of this world and into the world of human self/human conciousness/unconciousness and actual art in a media frenzied world of clipart subliminally geared commercials. Yet, this DVD somehow fell into that category. The commentary is "alright" for comical relief; but then again, I have a dry sense of humor...so its not really that funny. I am also impressed with the extra audio track from Lustmord...but not as much as I was when i heard it for the first time. It seems to just drag on and on and on...and i think Lustmord and I should've worked together to make it cooler. Basically, I would say its worth the 9.99 or 6.96 or 6.66 $ that is stamped on it for the Parabola Video alone. This kind of stuff opens peoples minds beyond this plane of smogged up reality into the possibly illusionary realm of how we can change the world into a better place.
I think this DVD would have been a lot more satisfying had it contained a live version of the song. Also, I'd just like to say that TOOL rocks. Just kidding, TOOL rules.
