Movie Review: Totally in Tune with the Books

I know in my head what Jesse Stone looks like and it's not Tom Selleck. However, having said that, Selleck does a perfect Jesse Stone. In fact, all of the actors portray Parker's characters beautifully. Even the music and photography capture the tone of the books. It must be a difficult, if not almost impossible, job to take a book series & successfully transfer it to the screen without sacrificing some aspect. I've bought Stone Cold and 3 other Jesse Stone dvd's and haven't been disappointed in one of them.Movie Review: Selleck Got Me Again

I was on a personal trip from my home to Kentucky when I had occasion to hear Mr. Parker's Sea Change on CD. I enjoyed the CD emensely, which took me to the films that were available. I have enjoyed Mr. Selleck in all of his films and this was no different. It was if Mr. Selleck was made for the part. The film held my interest as well, if not better, than the book. Viola Davis played her part just as well. If you're a Selleck fan the films are not to be missed. Worth every star offered.Movie Review: Outstanding

The first in the Jesse Stone series. I have the series and find the story to be well written. Tom Selleck does a superb job of bringing this character to the screen. Selleck adds a strong dimension to Jesse and a real likableness. The stories maintain your interest and all are well directed and in good locations. The supporting cast adds to the story in supporting Jesse Stones character. If you like Tom Selleck, police mystery (not action) you will enjoy these stories.Movie Review: Jesse Stone Rocks

Simply put, this was one of the most refreshing and enjoyable TV movies in decades. It had the courage to take its own sweet time getting to where it wanted to get (and yes, you must have an attention span longer than 5 seconds to enjoy this). Selleck is simply great, and the wonderful feel of coastal New england just oozes from frame to frame. stone cold shows tom selleck at his best. aa good whodunit mystery. tom selleck is made for this role. i would say that u should get the other movies where tom selleck plays the small town sheriff.i hope we see more movies with him playing this character based on robert parkers books about jesse stone.stone cold is a movie where it held u on the edge of seat wondering what was going to happen next. i give 4 stars rating.
