Yes, the book is better, but this is still great stuff. I think it even got a few laughs out of my boyfriend who doesn't much care for older movies or literary classics. My favorite part is the eating scene where he and the prostitute are tearing off chunks of meat in a way that fluctuates between disgusting and lusty.Movie Review: Oh Tom, You Devil

What a fun movie. Great cast. Costumes really add to the atmosphere. And the music is terrific. "Tom Jones" is in my top ten movies I have seen, what a rush. And a great story line. You can't help rooting for this rake. Love the scene with the oysters.
Buy this flic, you cannot go wrong.
