Movie Review: Stands the test of time (no pun intended)
Summary: 5 Stars
This was a favorite of mine when it came out and watching it with my daughter it was fun to see her get as engrossed with it as I remember being when I first saw it.
Strong performances by the cast help pull off this rather unbelievable tale. Some of the modern day settings are kind of humorous watching it now, but that just added extra charm to the viewing.
Close to 30 years later, this movie still ranks as one of my favorites and this viewing did little to change my mind on that.

Time After Time is first and foremost a great idea for a story. The idea that H.G. Wells had a time machine in which Jack the Ripper escapes justice is perfect since we know the Ripper was never caught in real life. This film is full of action and suspense and has a quite good ending as well. The acting is top notch as each portrayal is perfectly delivered by a well selected cast. This is the kind of movie that stays with you. I was glad to find it on Amazon, since I hadn't seen it anywhere else.Movie Review: One of My Minor Favorites!

I have always loved this movie mainly for the love story and the strong performances of the protagonists Malcolm McDowel and Mary Steenbergen. David Warner is terrific too. It made a name for Nicholas Meyer who went on to direct the second Star Trek movie and save the franchise from oblivion. What is nice about this movie is the humanity and compassion for the characters. Wonderful performances and I can see how the two stars fell in love, at least for awhile.Movie Review: Finally on DVD, OH yes!!!

Well it has been many years since I saw this film but I loved it every time I saw it. Pretty sure I caught it on the big screen and then later on HBO or TV and maybe even rented once or twice. Now I'm going to buy this DVD and enjoy it many more times. Like the other person says, great acting, and story. Keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way. The Movie was really good. It was in really good condition when it arrived in a timely manor too. Kinda took me back in time with it. its about the time machine and Jack the Ripper. its not too gory tho. Well acted. A bit of a Love story too. something for every one.
