Movie Reviews of Thunderheart

Movie Review: Thunderheart
Summary: 5 Stars

Terrific movie if you are into the life of an American-Native Indian much like it is today. I visited the Lakota Reservation outside of Rapid City, which is the poorest county in the United States. So how the federal government and differences by tribe members make a big difference in their individual lives. I wish them well, and recommend anyone who is interested in history,(past and Present) watch this movie along with "Dances with wolfs", Graham Greene is excellent in both movies !

Movie Review: best seller in native american culters
Summary: 5 Stars

I feel this movie is the best that has ever been made in my opinion. It is very heart felt and is in very good detail. It really gives excellent details on how native americans go through things in life. The actors in this movie where excellent!I have recommended this movie to several people.Ive also seen the movie 30 or so times so far!The producers did a fantastic job making this movie and the choices for actors where stupendus!! Thank you. Tracy Shipley

Movie Review: Excellent display of the social stratification of the Native American people
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie was filmed on the Bear Creek Reservation which just happens to be in the poorest county in the entire United States. The movie presents a vivid picture of what struggles the Native American population has endured over the past 400 years. Val Kilmer's journey to spiritual enlightenment while bringing the corruption of the FBI and tribal police down is nicely interwoven in the plot. An excellent movie for anyone who is a movie watcher.

Movie Review: This movie will create Thunder in your heart.
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a very good piece of work. Strong screenplay with great acting by Val Kilmer and Graham Greene. I really enjoyed the depth and magic of this story. This movie shows a small piece of the corruption happening against the Native peoples in America on the reservations. Although this movie is fictional there is some truth to the story. Look inot the life of Leonard Peltier to seek the Truth. Overall definitely worth your time checking out.

Movie Review: An important movie to see
Summary: 5 Stars

My initial reason for watching this movie was because John Trudell is in it and I am a big fan of his albums as well as an admirer of his. When I finished watching it, I had a whole new respect for Native Americans as a people, and the struggles they've endured and fought through for decades. It was sometimes painful to watch, but I think it is a very important film that tells a story that needs to be told.
