Movie Reviews of Things Change

Movie Review: One of the great movies!
Summary: 5 Stars

The subtlety and power of this movie are amazing. I like David Mamet anyway, but this script and the actors are just wonderful.

Movie Review: Things Change - dvd
Summary: 5 Stars

This may be considered a small movie, but it should be on eveyones list of must have movie

Movie Review: Things Change
Summary: 4 Stars

A movie more about an outlook on life as opposed to the mob. Don Ameche and Joe Montegna are great in this story about a shoeshine man being hired to play a mob boss. Ameche takes the job when he believes it is honorable. Montegna plays the man in the mob assigned the job of babysitting him to make sure he doesn't screw things up. What the mob learns from Ameche is there can be honor among thieves. A fascinating story with a great cast, directing (David Mamet), cinematography, and music. If you enjoy movies about life lessons and appreciating every day you have, you should love it. If you enjoy this catch Being There (Deluxe Edition) and Scent of a Woman.

Movie Review: not for action fans
Summary: 4 Stars

Yes, this film does not "rock 'em, sock 'em along" like your usual action flick, written by 20 somethings for the prepubescent crowd. Your may have to go through more than one scene without a car chase, explosion, or gratiutious sex. This is a quiet comedy, written about the stranger than fiction turns life can take. If you're bored with the same cookie cutter plots and small rotation of leading men, give this a try. There's a reason why the price remains in the $20.00 range. It's good.

Movie Review: pretty good
Summary: 4 Stars

I gave this film four stars, kind of as an homage. Joe Montenga and Don Ameche were both pretty good, they made me chuckle; a star apiece.
The other two stars, just on general principle, have to go to the writer.
