Movie Review: Worth seeing and owning

As a life-long, orthodox and educated Catholic, I was surprised to see so many negative reviews about this film. Is it perfect? No, but then please name one film which is perfect and with which NO ONE can pick any fault? Certainly, you should read STORY OF A SOUL before, and after, you view it, but then I think that is ultimately what the director was trying to do. He introduces us to this Saint of the Little Way, and inspires us to know more about her life and her spirituality so we can incorporate it into our lives. I watched this movie twice in the theatre and I thought is was inspiring and beautifully done! The ending will bring almost anyone to tears, and the acting was pretty good. There were a lot of "crying scenes", but It does not ruin the movie. The soundtrack is also beautiful, and adds greatly to the movie. The movie is as you would expect from any biographical film- not made for pure entertainment. But as I said, this movie is extremely insipiring and beautiful..Movie Review: Con Daly from Ireland

I really enjoyed this movie. It was very well produced and directed. The acting was also very good. One of the things I really liked about it was the option to see the movie with a running commentary from the director, giving one a better insight into St. Therese's life.
This film is a must see. It should have been nominated for a few Oscars. Hopefully it will be out in Irish cinemas soon as St. Therese is a very popular saint here.

Therese is refreshing in that it portrays a life -style and values which we people of the 21st century would do well to recall - a time when people realised their place in God's kingdom and strove to achieve just that. Finally its on DVD,finally I can take her home!
It could of been longer, but just the same it's a beautiful film.(It also comes with a small booklet. :)
I think all christians,catholics and all the other people who are tired of the movies coming out now should promote this film and tell hollywood to stop with the stupid films!
