Movie Reviews of The WraithMovie Review: LOVE THOSE HAIRDOS Summary: 3 Stars
THE WRAITH is one of those films that definitely cannot deny its 80s heritage. With a soundtrack laden with 80s greats like Bonnie Tyler, Ozzie Osbourne and Robert Palmer among others, the movie is a homage to those delightfully corny times. And the hairdos...Clint Howard's pompadour, Nick Cassavettes "bad guy" look; the punk look of Skank, and of course Charlie Sheen's nice guy fluff. Not to mention the divine Sherilyn Fenn in her pre-Twin Peaks day. The movie opens with something coming from outer space that morphs into a hot car and a costumed driver. We learn that a gang of punks (led by the irrepressibly vile Nick Cassavettes) have murdered a young man who was messing around with Nick's honey (Fenn). Soon the guys are picked off one by one by the mysterious driver in the souped up car and Sheriff Randy Quaid sets out to find out who this mysterious stranger is. Viewers will figure it out pretty quickly, but THE WRAITH is an entertaining movie, with little unpredictable twists, but the sense of poetic justice is satisfied and that 80s soundtrack is pretty exciting.
Movie Review: The Wraith Summary: 3 Stars
This movie is a hard one to find...I have been looking for it to buy for a long time and now I have found it. If you have a copy of it then you better hold on to it...you never know when someone wants to buy it.

Movie Review: The wraith Summary: 3 Stars
1986 chessy movie but if you are into turbo dodges of that era this movie is for you. The PPG pace car is powered by a 398 hp Chrysler 16v 2.2 twin turbo ..... mid engine formation. Gutterboy cracks me up!
Movie Review: Where were some of the spots filmed? Summary: 3 Stars
The credits simply say the movie was filmed in Tucson Arizona. Although this is a start I'd like to know where Big Kay's burgers was filmed and also that lake where everyone was simming in near the beginning.
Movie Review: Unintentionally Funny Summary: 2 Stars
I remember watching this in junior high on HBO. I bought it on bargain DVD several years ago. I still watch it from time to time as it is probably the silliest "horror" movie ever made. A young Charlie Sheen is very wooden in his triple role as The Wraith/Jake/Jamie Hanson. He rides into town on a motorcycle, yet no one recognizes him, not even his girlfriend (Sherilyn Fenn) or his brother. Did I mention that he's dead? Not long after his arrival, the crew of hotrodders who did him in start to die one by one at the hands of a helmeted black-clad weirdo who drives a super-fast car of death (with the Chrysler logo plainly visible in every head on shot). If the hero is implausible, the villains are even more so. From Packard Walsh, the leather jacketed, cliche spouting leader, to Rughead (Clint Howard), the gang's master builder, to Skank and the Gutterboy, the requisite stoner/drunk punks of the group. Don't let this turn you off. There are some great, if pointless, car chases and fiery crashes set to a cheesy 80s soundtrack. This movie must be seen to be believed.
