Movie Review: PURE MAGIC FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Summary: 5 Stars
I watched this as a youn girl when it aired on HBO. I loved it to death.
This is a wonderfully made move. The effects are old school and VERY 80's. But back then this was top of the line effects. Seeing it makes me remember my childhood and how much I LOVED this movie. It was because of this movie that I wanted to be a Witch every halloween.
When I saw it on DVD, I had to snatch it up. It's the kind of movie you can share with your children and the whole family can watch.
If you like Harry Potter, you'll LOVE this movie as well!
Movie Review: The Original HP

I was 7 years old when this movie came out and 23 years later, it's still stuck in my head! As a kid, the movie enabled my imagination to soar! It was the coolest movie and I loved it so much that I wanted to be a witch. Their school was so much more interesting than my public school, lol.
Horrible quality, poor graphics, but nevertheless a staple in any movie collection. It used to come on every Halloween and then it stopped. This is a great movie for children and will definitely get anyone in the mood for Halloween!!

The girl that played Mildred Hubble was perfect for the role. She's enchanting especially when she's clumsy. Her wit and charm will keep you spell bound.
The girl in the TV Series however leaves a sour taste in your mouth. When I bought the first video, by mistake, thinking that it was the original movie, I could not wait to get rid of it. I did not want this eyesore to contaminate my collection.

Summary: 5 Stars I have loved this movie for many years. It reminds me of how hard it is for a preteen girl to get along with others and to fit in. The mean girls (Ethel Hallow and her cohorts) and the nice girls (Maude and the others) make life for a poor misfit girl who is trying to make it at the Witches' Academy and become a very powerful witch pretty hard to live with. She does succeed in making everyone proud of her at the end, doesn't she.
I love this movie more than I can say. It is just such a heartwarming, funny movie.

I remember this airing on disney. It aired years after it was created, but it didn't matter. The story is one that generations can love. This movie is my first pick for a halloween movie to watch. I love Mildred and you will find yourself cheering her on in this movie; wanting her to succeed. Yes, all the reviews are correct to say the special effects are terrible - at times it's hard not to laugh. Even with all that going on this movie is still my favorite. If you watched this as a kid you will still love it today!
