Movie Reviews of The WoodsmanMovie Review: INVISIBLE VICTIMS Summary: 1 Stars
but a very visible victimizer, who we get to know and watch fall in love [ I'm sure that's a common occurrence for rapists and child molesters, yep, get out of prison, meet a beautiful girl, happens all the time ] and gee whiz wasn't bacon's performance brilliant? can't say much about the performance of the little girl's he molested, since they are never seen. I don't get it, do we really need to see a sympathetic potrayal of a pedophile? wouldn't it be better if we also saw the devastation done to the children and their families? the ruined lives? wouldn't that provide some balance? is it unreasonable to ask to see the damage done? I know from experience that it takes years to recover from sexual abuse. at times it seems hollywood is completely out of touch with the average america. why do some reviewers seem to have a moral blind spot when it comes to crimes against children? this is a sad indictment of our film industry today. sad, pathetic and shows no sensitivity whatsoever towards victims. they are real, but not in this film. 0 stars. want to see the antidote to "the woodsman?", watch "hard candy".
