Movie Review: Got the Wiz for sentimental reasons

I purchased this DVD only a couple of weeks before Michael Jackson's untimely death and I'm so glad I did. I was sitting here discussing some of the movies we never see anymore and this one came up. I immediately went to my computer and purchased it for less than $5 at Amazon.com and it arrived much sooner than I expected. I now consider it a collectible. The first time I saw this move, I was about 9years old. I couldn't completely enjoy it because the monkies scared me. Today I can fully apreciate this film. It has a wide range of soulfull cast and motown music. Sit down with your family and watch this movie with a new mind. Firstly, being a musical person and a lover of musicals from West Side Story to Little Shop of Horrors to Godspell, I think that The Wiz has some of the most exciting musical scores that I have ever heard! The WIZ is an exciting interpetation of the "WIZARD OF OZ." All the stores were sold out. When I asked the young salesman in the store about the "WIZ" with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson, he could sing all the songs on the DVD because his mother had bought the DVD for him when he was little. I had to special order the DVD.
