Pretty simple. The richest drama I have ever watched. If you watched the first season, this is a no brainer and you do not need a review to put you over the edge. If you are reading this to see if you would like the second season, this is too much series for you and you should stick to safer stuff like Friends or Sex in the City.
Movie Review: Brilliant TV

HBO have never let me down. My collection is full of wonderful HBO titles such as Band of Brothers, The Sopranos and Six Feet Under to name a few. But The Wire is in a different league. The Wire is gripping, raw and I guess about as real as TV can get. The characters are wonderfully crafted flawed personalities, whether they be police, dock workers or drug dealers. They are presented as real people in a real world. The minute I finished Season 2 I bought Seasons 3 and 4. Sorry to see it end.
