Movie Review: The Wire
Summary: 5 Stars

This is not really the type of show I prefer and it's not my favorite show on TV. But it's actually so good that I keep watching. And watching. And buying the next season. And the next one. It's so good, in fact, that it almost literally forces you to keep watching. I gotta get back to the last few episodes. Buy or rent this. It's tops. Which reminds me, I gotta buy Season 3.

Movie Review: Best Show Ever

This is by far one of the best shows I have ever watched. It's intense and real. Unlike other dramas of it's type, The Wire follows one main topic throughout the entire season, showing the different steps and conflicts they must deal with. The characters aren't perfect, but it makes them easier to relate to. I often find myself sympathizing with the various criminals as you see the life they must lead and few choices they have. Definitely worth checking it out, you won't be disappointed.

Movie Review: How could I ask for more?

I just began viewing "The Wire- Season 2" and I am already blown away. Although things have changed within the story one thing has not, the excellent acting, writing and film making. In this season we see even more of what made the first season of the show so great to watch. The thing I love so much about this new season is the inter weaving of plot lines including characters all over the city of Baltimore. In the first season we are exposed to two main settings, the projects and the run down office. In the second season there is another main locale, the docks, along with all new settings for the police and "Stringer's" crew. The show is beginning to give us a better sense of what the city is comprised of and is not settling on the idea that people in the projects are the only ones committing crimes.

I could go on forever about what i like about this show. Just watch the first season by renting the discs from Blockbuster (If everyone else hasn't already) and give the show a shot. I never enjoyed crime dramas too much before I watched "The Wire", but this show is a different breed. It's pure viewing and listening joy. I can't wait for Season's 3 and 4 which I've heard so many good things about.

Movie Review: The Wire, Season 2
Summary: 5 Stars

Again the casting and acting of this show is extremely good.
This time they took a classic 'whodunnit' storyline but succeeded in keeping the suspense all the way to the end.

They added some new actors (phenomenal), a new setting (the port of Baltimore) and new ingredients of corruption, smuggling and fraud to this second season on top of the ever existing western society drugs issues and kept some old characters in.

Big thumbs up!
