Movie Reviews of The Wind and the LionMovie Review: One of My Fave Movies of All Time Summary: 5 Stars
There's so much to love about this movie, especially if you're a Sean Connery fan. The character of Raisuli is full of admirable characteristics (given that he's a Barbary Pirate, though) and the clever repartie between he and Candace Bergen is laced thoughout the entire movie. Watching Bergen's opinion of Connery morph from beginning to end is another dimension. Add to that the way her children (especially her son) dreams of his experience and the final scene with Connery on the horse grabbing the rifle from the boy, and you've got the stuff legends are made of!
Movie Review: An AWESOME action film Summary: 5 Stars
The Wind and the Lion is by far one of THE greatest action movies ever made... i saw this movie when it 1st came out in 1975 and i was floored... the action sequences are great, particularly when connery fights 10 guys by himself... who cares if he has an accent. He is THE James Bond for Christs sake, give him the credit he deserves...as for any SOB that has a problem with Honor or Loyalty or Disciple then i say...you KNOW NOTHING..when i served in the USMC this was my squad's favorite picture.
Movie Review: The Scotish Sultan Summary: 5 Stars
One of the greatest and most underappreciated movies of all time. There is nothing you can say about this film that can be explained in words. I recommend that every man, woman and child rent this movie, turn off every light in the house, and play it as loud as humanly possible. They don't make movies like they used to and this epic adventure is a true gem. Even if the lead charecter is an Arab man with a slight scottish accent. lol
Movie Review: Classic Connery Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best movies made by Connery. Has adventure, suspense and funny moments. Can only say that it will stand the passing of time. If you have not seen this movie, I suggest you obtain it before it goes into the retirement site. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased that Amazon had this in stock and provided me with almost instant shipping. I can only compliment Amazon for their customer service.
Movie Review: SEAN CONNERY? AN ARAB TRIBAL EADER?? Summary: 5 Stars
Only Sean Connery, with his thick, albeit familiar accent could pull off a role such as this, with Candace Bergen no less as the believeable heroine. Sprawling vistas, great cinematography, great soundtrack make this a must collector item for lovers of adventure films and historical epics. In spite of the beheadings (tastefully depicted) my entire family enjoyed the picture.
