Movie Reviews of The Wild OneMovie Review: The Best Summary: 5 Stars
"The Wild One" and not "Easy Rider" is the classic of bad boy motorcycle flicks (Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels describes Easy Rider as a movie about two dope dealers, not about bikers).
This is a fun flick with the best part, IMHO, the viewer being able to retro back to the classic bikes and biker clothing of the 1950s. Brando and Lee Marvin play great little roles and as many believe it is Lee Marvin whose character is the forerunner of the 1960s outlaw motorcyclist in tenor and tone.
Well worth the money and a keeper for the DVD shelf library.
Movie Review: Marlon and his Band of Biker Boys are Coming...... Summary: 5 Stars
3 years after the legendary Marlon Brando shot to stardom in "A Streetcar Named Desire" and he uttered "Stella hey Stella" two years later he was "the Wild One". The 1953 classic about a biker rebel and his motorcycle gang who crash a small town to party and party more. Brando is amazing, electrifying, really cool as a biker, one of his greatest films. Marlon is a god of American Cinema among Bogart, Stewart and Grant. If You love Marlon Brando, see this awsome classic soon.
Movie Review: Classic Brando, Black and White Biker Movie Summary: 5 Stars
Is there another Black and White Biker movie? I love it. Not Easy Rider or Biker Boyz. A whole new (old) look at the motorcycle gang mentality or the general public perception of it. Internal and external social strife and the tortured inner man trying to make his way. Lee Marvin is too funny as the class clown. If you collect biker movies it's a must have. If you like Brando...must have. Black and white film fan...must have.
Movie Review: Video Museum Summary: 5 Stars
Regardless of how the story line grabs you or how much many of the actors maybe miscast this movie is worth it just to see all the old bikes. From Triumphs, BSA's, Nortons & Vincents to Harleys & Indians it gives you a firsthand look at the wide variety of classic bikes that were available back then...I only wish it were so today.
Movie Review: wildonetoo Summary: 5 Stars
Very much a classic. Yes they talk funny but hey, it was nineteen fifty what? It's kind of neat historically when you consider how "baaaaad" these guy's were supposed to be. Again, nineteen fifty when? Cool flick for Brando fans and my girlfriend loves it. That's worth points right there. Fire up the cicle and ride.
