Movie Reviews of The Wiggles - Yummy YummyMovie Review: Yummy Yummy is great! Summary: 5 Stars
The Yummy Yummy video is great- my son is one and he has been watching it since he was 8 months old. It really catches his attention and holds his interest. The only part that he isn't interested in is the "Magic skit". But he loves all of the other ones. We all like the "Puppets" segments, although there have been many reviews against them. They do look a little creepy but you have to admit, when they put their heads together and chant, "Fruit Salad, yummy yummy" it is funny- I still laugh after seeing it 100 times plus... My husband and I know all of the words to all of the songs and the guys at work laugh when I break into "Hot Potato" or "Fruit Salad". Good job Wiggles!
Movie Review: My daughter is mesmerised by this. Summary: 5 Stars
I love the Wiggles. The Wiggles are an Australian quartet who sing upbeat numbers aimed at ages 1-8. My 17 month old loves them and will dance away and follow the movements whenever I put this on (a great diversion). The music is upbeat, much better that other music I have heard for kids and bearable even for adults (I hate Barney). There are a number of characters, Wags the Dog, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword who all have their own quirks. As mentioned, there are two songs with puppets which I found creepy but my daughter loves, even one which is rather techno. She also enjoys the magic show and will talk away to the tv when it is on. I definitely recommend this.
Movie Review: Entertaining to say the least! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 9 month old grandson and he just loves it! He is now 1 year old and he comes to visit every weekend and he always looks at the TV when he comes in to see if it's playing yet. I have a rule that we watch it only once a day while he's here because otherwise, he would want to watch it a five times a a day. I have bought two other Wiggles DVD's and he doesn't have any interest in them whatsoever. I'm not sure what it is about Yummy Yummy, but he's enamored by it. The only part he does not sit still for is the magic trick scene because that is the only part of the DVD that is not accompanied by music and dancing! His grandfather and I sing along. Grandpa knows all the words to all the songs!
Movie Review: quiet ride Summary: 5 Stars
Our video tape of this was worn out so we got the DVD in anticipation of a long airplane ride (coast to coast). This got us through with a minimum of discomfort. We also got 2 other DVDs, but this was the favorite. Of all the Wiggles DVDs or Videos, this remains his all time fave, from 4 months old to now (19 mo). If you aren't familiar with the Wiggles, they're very active and geared for the preschool set. Yet, my husband and I often find things to laugh at as we watch with our little one. The music in this one is at a faster pace than some of the older ones. The choreography is better too.
Movie Review: Better than Einstein! Summary: 5 Stars
I have all the Einstein movies, and can only watch so much. I bought this video to give the Wiggles a try. Now, my son is quite young, only 6 months, but he LOVES the Wiggles. It keeps him more entertained than the Baby Einstein videos. Someone made a comment about the psychalelic puppets, I have to say that they're not my favorite, but my son will stop whatever he's doing and watch those puppets. It doesn't matter what he's doing, he LOVES the puppets. I highly recommend this video to anyone who wants to try the Wiggles. I think I may like it better than my son, but he likes it too!
