Movie Reviews of The WaterboyMovie Review: You Can Do It! Summary: 5 Stars
This a great movie. It's not Adam's best (Wedding Singer), or funniest (Happy Gilmore), but it sure is a hell of a great movie. It's a story of a waterboy for a football team who starts playing fooball for the team. He's great. But he has to pass an exam to make it into college before he can play the championship game... I don't want to tell you the rest. If you want to find out, just see for yourself and buy the movie. Trust me, you won't regret it.
Movie Review: Thumbs up, give you meaning on odther levels Summary: 5 Stars
The comedy was retarded or was it? Looking deeper in on this modern comedy we see that this movie has something special. I saw it recently for the second time and watched the whole thing all the way through. So, it has the ability to go through time and still be a classic. The dialogue is Freudian in context and parts of movie use surreal sequences in creative juxtaposition. Thumbs up to a movie that at first glance seem throw away worthy, but it ain't easy.
Movie Review: Are You Ready For Some College Football? Summary: 5 Stars
The Waterboy is a very funny film starring Adam Sandler as a dimwitted waterboy who vent his frustration at his aggressors by becoming a powerful defensive tackle for a little-known college football program. Kathy Bates and Henry Winkler were great in their respective roles, and the cameo appearances by Dan Patrick, Lee Corso, Lawrence Taylor, Lynn Swann, etc. were a treat. The Waterboy is a perfect movie for any college football and Adam Sandler fan.
Movie Review: I was an EXTRA in it... I ENJOYED it. Summary: 5 Stars
If you look about 38 minutes into the film... you can probably see me running towards the Mud Dogs in their first win. I worked ten days on the set of the Waterboy and had a lot of fun. It was shot in March 1998 in Orlando, Florida... in other words, freezing mornings and sun-burning afternoons. It was fa lot of fun and I was pleased with the final product. Thank you, Ellen Jacoby (Extras Casting), for putting me in the film.
Movie Review: Hilarious Adam Sandler movie! Summary: 5 Stars
"Water's better than gatorade", "but mommy said..." are just a few of the waterboy's catch lines from the Waterboy. This is definately one of Sandler's best known movies. Here he stars as a waterboy who claims that water is always better than gatorade...only to be knocked out or teased by the football players. But when Bobby (Sandler) makes a great play in football, he becomes a "legend". This is a must for any Adam Sandler fan!!!
