Movie Reviews of The Waterboy

Movie Review: Watch it over and over again and each time laugh until your sides ache!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my favorite of all of Sandler's movies. It is among one of the few movies that I cannot count how many times I've seen. I could never grow tired of watching this movie! If you like movies that are just plain FUNNY you'll love this movie. Kathy Bates did an excellent Mama. There are a few lines that will stick with you, and if you are like me years later will still laugh hard every time you hear them. "You can do it!" is my favorite. Sandler's character is simple, sweet, and lovable. Mama is more multi-dimensional than I expected her to be the first time I watched the movie. His girlfriend would seem like the worst match on Earth for him, but they make a great comedy compliment to each other well. The coach is another lovable character. You'll be rooting for the good guys and laughing like you haven't laughed in years (or since the last time you watched Waterboy).

Movie Review: ROCK ON, WATERBOY!
Summary: 5 Stars

Adam Sandler does it again. Continuing in the sports tradition from Happy Gilmore, Sandler plays the "Waterboy" who decides he wants more than that position in life. He becomes the star of the football team, goes back to school, and gains an interest in girls. Now he has to worry about Mama (Kathy Bates) who told him never to play "foosball" and "little girls are the devil". Henry Winkler turns in a funny performance as Sandler's Coach with an interesting tattoo of Roy Orbison. Adam Sandler works with a great writing team and actors who keep you laughing almost every minute. Waterboy should have been included in the SANDLER COLLECTION 3 pack DVD instead of Bulletproof, which was Sandler's only weak film. Waterboy is hilarious, which is what Sandler and his crew does best. "HIGH QUALITY H20!!!"

Movie Review: Defence of Sandler
Summary: 5 Stars

Some may say that Adam Sandler is "running dry" with his creative and innovative form of comedy. On the contrary his comedic performances have steadily increased from film to film. However, regardless of personal opinion of Sandler and his career, this movie is entertaining, positive and most improtantly laugh out loud funny. This is the type of movie America needs more of. Most comedies you get a chuckle or two but nothing too memorable. Where as this movie creates an atmosphere in which the audience interacts with the laugh out loud comedy. You walk away from the movie knowing that you could watch it again and get more out of it. Adam Sandler is one of the few comedic stars who can elicit the laugh out loud response. This is what makes the Waterboy a must see and must own movie.

This movie is a classic. This movie is funny from beginning to end. In the movie Adam Sandler plays Bobby Boucher a 33 year old waterboy who gets picked on from the football players. His love for water and a mother who tells him that everything is the devil keeps him from having friends. But when he can't keep his anger inside anymore he becomes a "tackling fuel". Now he's playing football and putting his team on the winning end. But one problem,he has never went to school or tells his mom of whats he is doing untill later on in the movie. He gets his team to a bowl game(this is college football) and face his old boss, a coach who has one of the best teams in the nation. Its a great movie and is one of my favorite adam sandler movies.

Movie Review: This is one of Adam Sandler's best movies.
Summary: 5 Stars

The Waterboy is a movie that doesn't require a lot of brain power to figure out, but it's loaded with comedy and hilarious lines from Adam Sandler. One particular part of the movie that I love is when he is in a college class dealing with the agression center of animals and Bobby is asked why alligators are such aggressive creatures. Since his Mama was supposedly right about everything, his answer was "Mama says that alligators are angry 'cause they got all those teeth and no toothbrush." That's comedy, man! Simple comedy, maybe, but it's funny all the same! This is definitely a must-have for any Adam Sandler fan. If you don't like Adam Sandler, then you're not going to like this movie. End of story.
