I recorded every episode of this on VHS tape during the 80's when it was first-run. It is OUTSTANDING! It is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than the UPN series that aired in 2003 or so...buy this if you are a Twilight Zone fan, and don't be surprised if you like it more than the original series...Movie Review: Episode: The Cold Equations

After having been sorely disappointed in the purchase of the feature length version of Tom Godwin's story (see review elsewhere on Amazon), I purchased this set primarily to see the treatment my favorite SciFi short story received. I was ENTHRALLED! The TZ's treatment was almost as good as the original written story (which is difficult to find in published form).
The Cold equations is a story that will haunt you, as it has me.
I was able to have my 20 yo son watch the episode. His reaction to it was similar to my own when I first read the short story in my teens.
Congrats to TZ for a wonderful episode. The words "He was not alone" live!

Movie Review: A worthy successor to Rod Serling's vision

The 1980s revival of "The Twilight Zone" had some memorable moments that would stand out in the minds of its viewers. While it did offer some changes (i.e. The Grateful Dead offering its version of the classic theme), all-in-all it was a good follow-on to the classic 1960s series. Purchase it if you are a die-hard TZ fan - if not, its worth a weekend rental.Movie Review: so titillating

This is sweet sweet justice for those of us who grew up in the 80's and saw it at the time.
The stand-alone nature of every episode makes it great for this type of set. Skip the crappy ones and see a ton of great 80's television horror/comedy noir.
If you like Tales from the Crypt, Outer Limits (older or newer versions), et al. - you be glad to add this to a horror/fun collection.
