Movie Review: Great movie

When I was in high school, they had a play about the Tuskegee Airmen and I didn't get to see it because I let my personal issues get in the way of learning about the black experience in the military. I saw it on the History Channel and am proud to be an African-American. We have fought in America's wars and have been given little, if any credit for our bravery and defending our country. September 11th is a reminder for everyone to wake up and realize that we, as people of all backgrounds have fought to preserve this country and "The Tuskegee Airman" proves that.Movie Review: A History Lesson Long Overdue

If one is looking for real American heroes, one need look no further than those proud pilots that formed the flying corps that graduated from historic Tuskegee State University,This excellently told and acted film highlights the tale through the use of exciting action sequences, revealing military settings, and bravura acting from an assemblage of some of finest actors on the contemporary scene. With such award-winning talent as Fishburne, Gooding, Braugher, Lithgow, the production can only be hailed as top-notch.
Supporting performances from Malcolm Jamal-Warner (Theo on "The Cosby Show"), Christopher McDonald ("Family Law"), Mekhi Phifer ("O"), Allen Payne ("A Perfect Storm") and Courtney B. Vance ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent") and Viveca A. Fox ("Independence Day") only add to the acting dynamic.
9/11 has made it imperative that we look at those individuals that contributed magnificently to this country's success in time of crisis.
The Tuskegee Airmen were an integral part of that story.

Hi! This is a great movie. I'm a World War 2 buff so i read and watch alot of things about the second world war. This is a great movie about the story of the 332nd fighter regiment. Even people that don't know anything about world war II will like this movie.Movie Review: Three thumbs up!

This is a very touching potrayal of what these brave young men had to endure.From racism given on all sides of the line.I found it very interesting and admirable to find out that the 332nd air fleet never lost a bomber to enemie fire.If you are a black history buff,this is a video that you should not overlook.Movie Review: Outstanding

This movie not only addresses the tragedy and patriotism of those of served our country in WWII, but in brings to light the discrimination that was also a very real part of the existence of our black american heroes. This movie is not what I originally feared it would be, a typical portrayl of the oppresive white man keeping the black man down. It showed the courage and tenacity of a group of Americans (in the case African Americans) who fought and died for their country in the war to end all wars. The storyline follows a group of black pilots who not only bring honor and pride to themselves, but their country. They lived the motto, "My country, right or wrong, my country." It didn't matter that these men were discriminated against because they were black, they did the job that had to be done and they did it well. What more can we ask of any American? Watch this movie for the accurate history it portrays, not only in the struggle for equality in our country, but for all the guts and glory of those fighting men we owe our very freedom to today. God bless America.
