Movie Reviews of The Tuskegee Airmen

Movie Review: The Tuskegee Airman the forgoten hero's
Summary: 5 Stars

Having been recommended to watch this movie I found it as genuine as any movie could be about a group of Black Americans wanting to do their bit for their country and prove to that they are as good as anyone else. They achieved this with humility, skill and professionalism without letting their colour getting in the way. Yet it took years for their achievement to be recognised. I wanted to know more about this squadron so I searched the net for the real Tuskegee Airmen and it's a pity the rest of the real story could not have been told.It is well worth watching and I do sympathise with their valiant effort as I am black and at one time held a pilot licence in England it had not changed in the 70's. Enjoy.

Movie Review: Great Story, Great Cast
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful story about honor, courage, and persistence. I met several of the Tuskegee Airmen at he Indy 500 this past summer and was wowed by their humility and pride. After watching this movie, I now know why they are so proud. Like Jackie Robinson, the Tuskegee Airmen were pioneers who made life better for all Americans.
I showed this movie so some 8th graders as part of Black History month. You could hear a pin drop in the classroom. The boys loved the action while the girls enjoyed the human interest story. All actually cheered when German fighters were shot down.
This is a wonderful history lesson that is a joy to watch.

Movie Review: Great Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I are movie buffs, so when we seen this movie on television we just had to purchase it. I enjoyed the movie because it is history and it displays the African-American struggle in a way that gets the point across without sounding like another freedom struggle. I loaned this tape out to a friend of mine who is Hispanic and he had no idea of what African-Americans went through and are still going through. Now, I do not have to explain to him my trials and tribulations even in this day and age. It really displays the courage of African-Americans and the respect that goes along with day to day struggles whether it be today or decades ago.

Movie Review: Airmen Review
Summary: 5 Stars

This film is a wonderful movie about the Tuskegee Airmen. This is a great story about the development and implementation of Black pilots into flight school and eventually deploying their squadron into the front line during the Second World War. I don't know if the story is historically accurate, but it did make for an interesting and enjoyable movie. I would have liked to have seen more aerial footage of the pilots flying their mustangs into battle. I really liked seeing photographs of the actual Tuskagee Airmen.

Movie Review: The Tuskegee Airmen
Summary: 5 Stars

The true story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first squadron of black American pilots to defend their country in World War II. Overcoming nearly insurmountable racial obstacles, the men of the "Fighting 99th" distinguished themselves and their race. This movie is an action-filled dramatization of the true story of the Tuskegee Airmen. Laurence Fishburnce gives a brilliant performance, capturing the spirit of brotherhood amongest the fighters at Tuskegee. A true story and a truly great movie.
