Movie Review: A fabulous work of entertainment!
Summary: 5 Stars
I had to add something here. I loved watching this series, and have seen it now several times. This should not be taken as historically accurate. It is being aired on Showtime as entertainment, and fills the bill very well. The sets, scenery and music are wonderfully mingled. The actors are engaging and keep you involved.
I will not get "wordy" here, but this is one of the best series I have seen in years. I am a student of the Tutors saga, so the inconsistencies are quickly noted... but this is not a study of the actual facts.
My thanks to Showtime for putting together this lush, dramatic series. I hope they continue it for many seasons to come.

I think the writing for this show is wonderful even if the historical details are not accurate. I do wish that since the show makes points on the iffy parts of history that they would have included more of Mary Boleyn and the possibility that her children were fathered by the king, which would have made more conflict. This is a very addicting show. I hadn't watched it on ShowTime and so when I bought it my plan was to watch one episode a week. I eneded up finishing the WHOLE DVD in 2 days :)
Very well costumed and the actors do a great job. Nice to see some minor actors getting good roles.
