Movie Reviews of The TripMovie Review: You just don't get it... Summary: 5 Stars
um um um...you people just do not get it, huh? I have earned my wings, dolls. I have been a drag queen for 25 years now. I have seen it all...including AIDS. All the pampered people whining that one should not have died so that they could ride into the sunset just don't get the triumph. True love blossomed again. We thought it had been poisoned and a beautiful flower grew in its place. These were toxic days, my sisters. AIDS? Do you know what that even is? These two beautiful men in love represent our hope. All of our hopes! The good spirit decides when its time. Who are you to argue. But guess what brothers. Because of people dying in the 80s so many couples in love now are watching gay movies at home or in the theatre. Right as we speak. And love lasts forever. That is what you just don't understand.

Movie Review: Speak Out, the results will suprise you Summary: 5 Stars
I found this movie by pure luck. My friends and I, all straight, are huge fans of Indipendent film. One night this last summer we were doing our usual search for Indie movies and we found 'The Trip'. We were a little hesitant at first, but decided to rent the movie. Now, my friends and I have seen a lot of good films, but this one suprised us so much. I've never felt so involved in a love story, gay or straight. This movie is a wonderful piece of work that brilliantly highlights the true nature of love. By the time this movie was over, non of us could speak, we were shocked at how much this movie touched each of us. I would, and did, reccomend this movie to absolutely everyone. It is a great display of the struggle for human rights, and is a perfect example that gay men are not the flamboint, punch-lines that modern media has made them out to be.
Movie Review: My view of the Trip Summary: 5 Stars
I thought this was a touching story,The Trip I found it witty and well written. You will fall in love with the two main characters. I wish the budget had been bigger,it surly deserved to be told without restraint. Perhaps someday it will be re-done with a bigger budget. I love the way they did the time period transitions from the 1960's to the 1980's. The big bonus was that all the great music was original. It's 0400 A.M. and I've just finished watching it. I had to write a small piece on it before going to bed, if you want to see a great movie over the Thanksgiving Holidays this year I highly recommend this movie! I will be saving it to watch again with my partner for our special Thanksgiving day together.
Movie Review: Look in the mirror! Summary: 5 Stars
Guys, let's admit it. As much as we hate it if you are 40+ you have to see yourselves in these characters. From the goofy clothes and haircuts we all had to the mistakes we all made with relationships. We are all an Alan or we know one. We are all a Tommy or know one. I was an Alan and maybe I still am. All I know is that it seems like I am not the only one who remembered past lovers who have died or are not in my life anymore. If I could go back in time 10 or 15 years I would do some things so differently. Even though Tommy dies in the end we all wish we could have that one last kiss, that one last hug or that one last wonderful moment with a guy we love that no one could describe. I think my generation let me down with all the drugs and sex. That's part of what this movie is all about.
Movie Review: Pure Gold! Summary: 5 Stars
My partner and I just saw this movie and it was really worth it. We just ordered it so that we can have a copy of our own. We were reading reviews on Friday to get a sense of what good gay themed movies we'd missed. I don't know how we missed this one. It doesn't have skin and the characters won't be going to any "white party"'s anytime soon but this movie had spirit, heart, values and it was just really heartwarming. I cried at the end.
I agree with all the reviews that bring in their own lives. This totally shows how two people who love each other can overcome all obstacles. Even though one character dies their love lives on. It sounds really trite but I am just not doing it justice. See this for yourself and do it with good friends or, better yet, the person you love.
