Movie Review: Support this effort from Columbia-- BUY them!
Summary: 5 Stars
I actually DO have all the THREE STOOGES shorts-- like the Little Ras-
cals/Our Gang Comedies-- there's approximately 200 of 'em! If released
in three-year sets from 1934 to 1958 (including "re-edited DEAD Shemps")
at this "current" release schedule, it should take about 8, total, col-
lections-- at two a year-- till the year 2010. These shorts ARE availa-
ble-- bootleg directly copied off various TV-broadcasts; from Columbia
on VHS; and [oddly enough], on very short-- expensive-- often repeated,
DVD collections. If Columbia'd have done THIS in the FIRST place, they'd
have sold more "units." I'm still going to buy them as my collection on
DVD; VHS; Beta; & LASER-discs fills a small room for JUST my Little Ras-
cals; Stooges; and Abbott & Costello. In any case, the studio did to US
what they did to THEM for many years. I think The Stooges [most of whom
were brothers]only got about two-grand [to share amongst themselves] per
two-reeler. They even had to provide their own clothes. I'm sure the
studio's made THEIR money back by now. About time THEY put those old ni-
trate- masters on disc...for history's sake-- if not OURS!
Buy 'em up-- and keep them coming. NOBODY has spent MORE money on all
them damn previous editions... suck it up and let's save some.. uh...

My German neighbor gets my obsolete stuff: (about) 4 VHS-tapes, and as
many as 5-DVDS, from me, each time a new collection comes out. The new
shelf-space is just FANTASTIC!
