Movie Review: The fine line between schmaltz and reality

Been there, done that. Not with as much panache; but anyone who has been through a breakup with kids ... well, it's easy to relate. I would recommend this movie to hopeless romantics and folks who love to watch a movie that makes them smile. I've found as I've grown older, I want my entertainment to BE entertaining. There is too much 'stark reality' in the world for me to want to see it played out on my TV thinly disguised as entertainment. And the 'Story of Us' is very entertaining. After you watch 'Story of Us,' try 'Bye, Bye Love.' Just another movie to make you smile.Movie Review: Story of Us-DVD

I have always loved this story....who CANT relate to at least some of it? Especially if you're married or have been in a long-term relationship. Fact is, people change, but rarely at the same time or to the same degree. I wanted to keep this in my collection (my previous copy was VHS and I no longer own a VCR) so I bought the CD. I have a few friends who have never seen it, and 2 were going through relationship issues, so we had a girls night in tissue fest. I recommend this to couples or a group of friends.Movie Review: This is a " MUST OWN"

My Husband & I watched the DVD, the next night our niece came over and the three of us watched it AGAIN! I went out & bought the DVD. I have seen it at LEAST 15 times since we bought it. Bruce Willis is wonderful in this movie, he should do more like this. Michelle Pfeiffer is so real in this movie. THEY BOTH ARE! I never realize that Michelle Pfeiffer is beautiful or on the other word "clever, sexy and mysterious" not after I watch this movie on HBO... I saw Batman Returns, I saw her other movies, but this is the movie that shows her as a talented and almost perfect girl... yep, girl !!! and I am a fan of Bruce Willis too... He's funny and almost wise...See this movie, it is good for building up your broken relationship again, I hope....

Whenever I get down about my life, or think it's almost over with my husband--- I watch this , and remember what we got together for in the first place. Life is tough, and it will chew you up and spit you out. This dvd not only opened my eyes to everything, but me and my husband do our "highs & lows" everyday now and at the end of the day, I always tell my husband "I PICK US"!!!!
