Movie Review: 5 stars for "Four Jacks"

I find myself saying this about a lot of movies recently, but this is indeed one of my favorite movies. Teaming up for a second movie, Robert Redford and Paul Newman put on a great show as co-artists, who are after a "mark." Nearly every part of this movie is enjoyable to watch over and over, and it includes one of the best card (poker) scenes in all of Hollywood. "Four Jacks!" Aside from Newman and Redford, there is an all-star cast in this movie. Truly a must get.Movie Review: Widescreen DVD available, but there's a catch.

For all of you you are looking for a widescreen edition of this movie on DVD, check amazon.co.uk. Universal has put out a widescreen version. The only problem with it is that it is not formatted for Region 1 DVD players, so you will need a code-free player or one formatted for Region 2 or 4 to watch it.
The film itself is excellent, and it is worth watching over and over. Read other reviews for a thorough synopsis of the film itself.
Movie Review: Great, Timeless

This movie is entertaining, creative, and well acted. Robert Shaw, Robert Redford, and Paul Newman are really great in this. This is one of about 250 films ever made that the whole family actually CAN enjoy. This film lead the way for more modern caper movies like Hiest and Confidence, even though those aren't half as good as The Sting. The great plot and appropriate comic relief make this a must-see popcorn flick. A+Movie Review: One of the great Newman-Redford motion pictures

I saw this in a theater when it was first released, and have watched it on many occasions since then. It remains one of my all time favorites. It is one of those stories where almost everyone is acting like someone they are not, the main exception being the mark. You want to ruin someone flying high? Show the world he can be scammed. This movie is simply flawless. I came home one late Saturday after a very long night and what did i find on television? The Sting. I do not believe I have ever been as content. I do not believe I will ever forget the poker scene it is truely a masterpiece. This movie is truely a classic and will go down in the anals of history as one of Hollywoods greatest movies! Long live Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
