Movie Review: Hilarious and entertaining

I love the Simpsons TV show but wasn't sure if a full-length movie would hold my wife's interest. It did. It actually had a good plot in addition to all the gut-busting laughs provided!Movie Review: Like it But felt Like Any Simpsons Episode on T.V.

I bought this a few weeks ago and while it's not a bad movie it just felt that it was a longer episode that you could watch on tv.The Short storyline is that Lisa and a few others getting tired at how the town is labeled as one of the most polluted towns decided to clean up their act while Homer has adopted a pig he saved from being cooked at Krusty Burgers.Homer is told to take care of the pigs waste but as usual he makes a mistake and the small silo he put the pigs waste in falls into the Springfield river and as usual Homer decides not to bother with it.Now because of the Silo waste draining into the river and contaminating it Springfield is quarantined.AS the people
of Springfield find out Homer is responsible he tries to make a run for it of course there is a little more to the movie but that was the majority of the movie.As I said I liked it fair enough but the show has been on so long that it seemed that they could have just made this a two-part episode on regular tv for you to watch.For the price of the movie I say just go ahead and buy it but if you have a dvd recorder wait until it comes on HBO and just record it the audio comes in 5.1 but you can't really tell much of a difference with that and just the stereo track.The video of course depends wither or not you get full screen or wide screen but again it doesn't seem that you miss to much either way.So if you're a hard-core Simpsons fan go for it and get the movie if not all I can say is just wait for it on cable you won't be missing much...

Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of watching the Simpsons. The movie, of course, was just as excellent as the program. I was surprised to see computer animation in it. The Simpsons Movie brings to the story the ongoing adventures of the Simpsons family in the fun city of Springfield. Keeping with tradition the Simpsons get themselves and the whole town in trouble when Homer pollutes the Springfield lake and the government seals off the entire city of Springfield in order to contain the dangerous pollution. The family will then attempt to save their hometown by going up against the Federal government with all the ups and downs that that entails!
Very well written and very well presented, the movie is without a doubt guaranteed to provide more than just a few laughs.
The setting, the plot, the dialogues, the HUMOR (!!!) and the music (!) are all wonderful!
In short, The Simpsons Movie is definitely worth watching and one to seriously consider adding to your movie collection!
