Movie Reviews of The ShadowMovie Review: saw this many times. it always pleases and entertains Summary: 5 Stars
I remember the toys they made from this movie. awesome. and cards and various other memorabilia. Baldwin makes the perfect Lamont Cranston/Shadow hero. and the rest of the cast is brilliant. see Beetlegeuse (or Beetlejuice) if you like Baldwin, Geena Davis, and other great actors actresses. quite an action packed and some humor parts movie. worth the watch every time in my dvd player. see this. I saw it tons of times on tv. it's a great movie.and to think before my days this was a story on radios told before we even had tvs. amazing. great job everyone who made or contributed to this movie
Movie Review: One of the best superhero movies from the 90s Summary: 5 Stars
I still watch this film and smile everytime I watch it. Its got good acting some great special effects although some might seem dated today. It took a old superhero from the 30s and 40s and almost brought him back. But I think people were expecting a Batamn movie when this was released, that its not, it reeks with soem of the Batman cliches but if you have to remember The Shadow influenced Batman long ago. This is a clean, fun filled piece of matinee material. A must own for anyone who collects superhero films or just ones that want to be taken away from the real world for a while.
Movie Review: Classic Pulp is Classic Fun Summary: 5 Stars
The Shadow is one of those under-rated gems that deserved much better than what it got during it's intital release. Alec Baldwin does a solid job in portraying the mysterious avenger of the night, while Penelope Ann Miller and Peter Boyle provide solid support and humor as his faithful agents. John Lone is a well rounded, urbane, yet savage villian. Overall, the mood is very true to the Shadow's pulp origins, while providing just enough humor to keep it from being over-blown. One of the best films in the "super-hero" genre. Highly recommended.
Movie Review: "The Shadow knows . . ." Summary: 5 Stars
This is a good, but not great, 40's superhero film. The Shadow, a mysterious figure roaming in the "most wretched lair of villainy we know as . . . New York City," must stop Shiwan Khan (the descendant of Genghis Khan) from destroying the city and ruling the world. This might be a very simplistic plot, but I was quite entertained. It has some great Art Deco designs, fairly intense action sequences, and some perfectly-timed humor. I wouldn't call this a definite must-see, but it's enjoyable enough to keep people interested.

Movie Review: CAMP Summary: 5 Stars
Delightful film set in the period of the original Shadow - no need for animation or other tricks - Baldwin is sexy, tormented, funny and heroic as he faces his own shadow - yet again. This is such a fun campy piece (Jonathan Winters saying a woman is crazy because she hears voices, oh, please :) )while Baldwin almost skips through the film - yet, in the end deals with some of his demons and takes us with him on that quest. Also, I must give a special nod to Peter Boyle (now deceased) as the taxi driver/partner to the shadow - He was hilarious.
