Movie Review: An enjoyable movie

I purchased The Secret Garden after reading the book. The movie was well made even though it deviated from parts in the book i.e. how the key was found and character interaction.
It was overall great. A good book and movie for families looking for clean, appropriate viewing material. The children actors and actresses did very well. The scenery and sets were beautiful. I recommend this movie to everyone.

We had the video but I needed to get the DVD of this timeless classic. The book was one of those classics that made an impression on me as a child. This film did the same to me as an adult.
It is an endearing and fun adventure for young and old and may even get many children back to the book which is a classic.
It is wonderful to still have films that tell a story and do not sell a product (as with Walt Disney).

Movie Review: A Classic Beauty

This to me is by far my favorite rendition of the classic. The acting, music and the scenery is so beautiful. This is definately a reccomendation to anyone who loves the story of The Secret Garden or loves anything that leaves a warm and fuzzy feeling after watching the movie.
I saw the 1987 Hallmark version and it didn't have the same feel as this one does. The acting was mediocre and it felt 'cold and unfeeling'. Don't get me wrong, the Hallmark version *is* a good movie. But compared to this one, it's completelly luke warm. I guess it's all in the matter of taste.
But as for this one, it's worth 5 stars a million times over.

The Secret Garden is a beautiful movie! Absolutely stunning and the little girl who played Mary was superb, one of the better child actors I have seen in any movie and I highly recommend this movie!
