Movie Review: Why not get the Blu ray?
Summary: 5 Stars
Now that it is priced on Amazon at the same cost as the DVD, it makes no sense to buy the DVD version. The picture is the most beautiful you will ever get it, and this movie is known for it's scenery. The extras were just icing on the cake. I now consider DVD a waste of money and will never go back now that Blu rays are at affordable prices. I got my copy of this movie for $9.99 here on Amazon.Movie Review: The Searchers

this is by far the best quality Blu-ray dvd that i have seen yet.
the picture seems like you are standing on the set along with the
actors....especially the exterior shots. i highly suggest that
anyone with high def television purchase this item.

This is one of the best looking blu-rays of a classic film. The Vistavision image is outstanding. The actors are at the top of their game, particularly John Wayne and Ward Bond. This is a great story and the Blue-ray quality is unbelivable. If you love the movie, you will love the Blue-ray even better because it captures the high definition detail of the original movie that was before its time. I especially like the end of the movie where Wayne swaggers.
