Movie Review: The Scarlet Pimpernel with Jane Seymour
Summary: 5 Stars

Fabulous movie . . . there's not a better version of this movie available! This one is full of wit, humor, great costumes and disguises, and tells a good tale in a classy way with Jane Seymour and Anthony Andrews as the main characters. They are wonderful in their roles. Even if you're not normally a fan of this type of historical adventure, this one is a must see/must own movie! Its been a favorite of mine for 20 years!!! :) I highly recommend this movie! Its a fabulous escape from reality for a few hours! You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Movie Review: Great way to complete your collection
Summary: 5 Stars

This is really only a rather old TV movie. But saying so badly undervalues an undisputed classic. The casting is superb. The staging is beautiful, with abundant views of locations that at least look completely authentic. The only instance where the producers might have had to skimp, due to budget, was in the guillotine executions in the grand plaza of Paris. But the mood of terror and outrage is still there. And to finally have this on a DVD is a joy, after decades of watching poorly copied videotapes made from off-the-air broadcasts.

Movie Review: Sink me! this is a great movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I first viewed this movie a decade ago. When I saw it on Amazon it was a simple decision to purchase it. It has adventure, romance, an intricate plot, and an excellent spectrum of actors. The dialogue is memorable (my siblings and I can still quote portions of this movie), the costumes fabulous, and the background stunning. It's a great family film that introduces a classic novel to young children, but the adventure captures the adult interest as well. It is a classic my home video collection, without it, would seem incomplete.

Movie Review: Odds fish madam, if this isn't simply the best!
Summary: 5 Stars

Anthony Andrews set the bar so high that no other scarlet pimpernel could ever attain his brilliant interpretation of the character. He goes from "foppish" to the perfect leader in a simple facial expression, makes you laugh out loud with his (mis)treatment of Chauvlain, then makes you swoon when he proclaims his love. It's perfect! Jane Seymour is dewey-eyed behind the softened lenses, beautiful and believable, but it's really Andrews who makes this film both unforgettable and utterly repeatable. Sink me, what is the time?!

Movie Review: They seek him here, they seek him there...
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the most enjoyable movies I have ever watched and we have watched a VCR copy of this film many, many times. The acting is supurb and the plot exciting. There are several twists and turns that keep you interested even after you know what is going to happen. One of my good friends still says, "Sink me" modeled after Sir Percy's oft repeated phrase. This is a quality show that is fit for most of the family. Small children however, may become upset with the action of the guillotine, although no blood is shown.
