Movie Reviews of The Rosa Parks Story

Movie Review: Thank You, Rosa Parks!
Summary: 5 Stars

When I was a little girl, I lived not far from where the Watt's Riots where happening and I remember how people was afraid. But I also, have to think about people like Rosa Parks who was courageous enough to stand and defy the racist system towards Black people in the South. It was people like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. that brought a light to a situation that needed to be addressed even in the time they lived what had been going on far to long and should never had happened in the first place.

While, I did not know much about Rosa's childhood, what was shown and happened too much especially in the southern United States was a common occurrence. I still remember about 1972, traveling from Oregon to Georgia my family stopped to eat at a roadside cafe; as we was seated at a table not far from the door a very well dressed black man came in to eat and the proprietor of the cafe insulted him by telling him he had to eat off the kitchen door in the back. My family got up after the nice black man left, we wouldn't eat their either because of what the proprietor did.

America today still has racism and it has given the country nothing but a large black mark that many in the world sees as nothing but a counter point of absolute resentment for their mistreatments of their fellow citizens or guests in their country.

Racism should never be, but the courage of people like Rosa Parks is a beacon to what American still need's, equality for all!

Movie Review: THE REAL MEANING OF SELF ADOVACY

ANGELA BASSETT DID A WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE PROTRAYING OF THE
LATE ROSAPARKS IN THE ROSAPARKS STORY. THIS BIOPIC WILL TEACH US
ALOT OF LESSIONS- ABOUT THE AFRO AMERICANS IN BLACK HISTORY, I
LEARNED ALOT. THIS IS A REAL MEANING OF SELFADVOCACY- MY FAVORIATE SCENE IS WHEN ROSAPARKS ANGELABASSETT SAYS: WHY DO YOU PUSH US AROUND TO ME THAT'S THE BEST SCENE OUT OF HER BEST PERFORMANCE.

CHRISBURKE LIFE GOES ON

Movie Review: The Rosa Parks Story
Summary: 5 Stars

The story of the civil rights heroine whose refusal to obey racial bus segregation was just one of her acts in her fight for justice. The performance of Angela Bassett in this movie is great. Rosa Parks serves as a shining inspiration to many Americans, and she has instilled in them, the indispensable spirituality, to covet the privilege of freedom, and to cherish the right of equality.

Movie Review: Rosa Parks
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a fifth grade teacher, and we use this video while studying the civil rights movement. I have found that it is a wonderful way to allow the children to see, first hand, what the movement was all about. The movie allows students to get a real sense of the fear people had to overcome in order to make a change in our society. This movie is a great supplemental teaching tool!

Movie Review: Absolutely Outstanding!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Whatever you are about to pay for this movie is well worth it! A beautiful story about a somewhat shy but determined lady who changed history. I never knew her full story which is full of sorrow and needless pain because of ignorance.
The acting is outstanding as well, with a superb cast and story that will truly tear at your heart. It did mine.
