Movie Review: THE OTHER GOOD PUNISHER
Summary: 4 Stars
Warning: this critique is not intended for clothes fetishists. If you have a "thing" for the Punisher's shirt, with or without the skull, this ain't for you. The 2004 Punisher is an entertaining shoot-em-up. Like the 2004 movie, Dolph's 1989 flick is also lots of shoot-em-up fun. Ignore the complaints about the Punisher's shirt when you read reviews on here and you'll be fine. This version isn't as polished as a lot of today's movies, but its fun entertainment that you shouldn't think about too hard. There's a big guy in black, lots of action, and death. It's not rocket science.
Give this one a look and the 2004 Punisher too. It's all good.
Movie Review: Fun Movie...And Drinking Game!?!?

I agree the film is fun, in a mindless sort of way. It is as good as the 2004 movie. What I remember, that hasn't been posted on here is the the amaturish framing of shots. Watch where people are standing, or when an objest like a chair is moved. You can see the marks, literally white x spots, where people are supposed to stand or objects are supposed to be placed. I was waiting for an anvil to fall on one chicks head, Wily Coyote style. And you won't see this only once or twice, it is throughout the movie. Take a drink everytime you see one and you will be stone cold drunk before it's over. Enjoy!!!Movie Review: Awesome action, SO-SO acting

This movie has always been a favorite of mine. The story is fairly original and the acting is sufficient but not outstanding (this is to be expected in action movies though). Dolph Lundgren was good at making The Punisher seem like the silent hunter constantly stalking it's prey. The action scenes are well executed and the Martial Arts sequences are well done considering there was minimal choreography done while filming to ensure a more realistic look. Fans of the B action movie genre will most likely take to this film but in any case I'd say rent it first before deciding to purchase it.Movie Review: Wheres the skull?!

I have one big problem with this movie. Where's the skull?!! The Punisher is my favorite comic character of all time so i was thrilled when i heard they were going to make a movie about him, but i think they should have a stuck a little closer to the actual story. In the comic book Frank Castle's family was killed by mobsters (like in the movie) but they died while having a picnic in central park, not a car bomb. He never lived in the sewers. Where's the minivan? Where's Microchip? Where's the ... skull logo on his chest?!Movie Review: The Punisher Rules!!!

I hate to say this, but this version is a little bit better than the 2004 version. It has a lot more action and more killing off bad guys. It's been five years since Frank Castle's family died, and he is getting his revenge and punishing all the corrupt people and mafia. This reminds me a lot of Max Payne, which is one of my favorite games. The only downfall of this movie is that the Punisher doesn't wear his famous skull shirt. If you love action, you'll love THE PUNISHER!!!
