Movie Review: It's not the quality of the movie, but the blu-ray

I am a fan of "The Punisher" and this is my favorite in the three versions that have been done. But I am not going to write a review on the movie, but on this Blu-Ray. First and foremost; there are no special features on here....? WTF? It is blu-ray and your not going to add some special features? Every time you load the disc it displays this set-up of how to navigate the settings. Skipping through that and on to the next. I don't believe that they perfected the quality (or the transfer) at this point, because some of the scenes are way too grainy. In fact when I first saw blu-ray, a lot of the movies looked like this and I was turned off, because I didn't think it looked good. Now Sin City is a great example of how great a blu-ray can look and there are a ton of special features. If you own the extended cut of "The Punisher"on DVD don't bother buying this one.Movie Review: Great Movie But For An Early Blu-Ray Not Great

I also have this movie both standard and now the blu-ray version I'm sure most people know about the storyline of this movie if not read the Amazon info about it an that is the jist of what the movie is about. I just want to say to people that if you already have the standard dvd version thats all you're going to need. The video and sound quality are not much better than what you got with the standard dvd since this is one of the earlier blu-rays to come out and they haven't fully mastered the video and audio yet you won't see any clearer or sharper details or better sound quality with this blu-ray version. So again if you have the standard dvd Punisher just keep that one and wait until they come out with a remastered blu-ray version or just pass this one up..Movie Review: NOT the EXTENDED CUT

This is not a review of the Movie itself so may others have already done so.
Rather It is to make others aware that this is NOT the EXTENDED CUT previously released on DVD. This is the basic version shown in theaters. The EXTENDED CUT has a running time of 140 mins, where this version is only 123 mins. Every other Marvel Blu I have purchases has been the EXTENDED, or DIRECTOR, or UNRATED CUTS. I was Disappointed that I did not check this info out before placing my order. It was my assumption this Blu would be on par with the rest of them.
I hope this help others who might also prefer the EXTENDED CUTS of the films. Learn from my mistake =)
Movie Review: Cool Movie, Missing Footage

While I enjoyed this movie, I do condemn the decision by Lionsgate to release the Theatrical Edition to Blu-ray. The sad thing about this release is that Lionsgate had released an uncut version of the movie, which contained 16 additional minutes of the movie, integrated back into the film. However, instead of releasing the uncut version, they released a bare-bones Blu-ray version when they could have easily included both versions in this release.
If you like Punisher and don't mind the theatrical cut, I'd say purchase it. Otherwise, don't waste your money on this sub-standard release.
Movie Review: Great movie, But Blu Ray doesn't deliver

I already owned this movie on DVD, and I love it. That is not the point of this review. Blu Ray, completely failed to "WoW" me at all with this title. The video looked like an upconverted DVD. Which I can get from a MUCH cheaper DVD player and disc. The video is consistantly grainy throughout the movie. Now I have since watched "Casino Royale" on Blu Ray and it looked much better, but still suffered from the same grainy video in some scenes. I also have an HD DVD player and have several movies in that format as well, and they have never had anything similar to this problem.
