Movie Reviews of The Prophecy 3: The Ascent

Movie Review: Great!
Summary: 4 Stars

I loved this movie! I found it far better than the second one and about equal to the excellence of the first. I liked Scott Cleverland as Pyriel in particular! Love them pretty boys!

Movie Review: THE SECOND ONE WAS MUCH BETTER
Summary: 2 Stars

This movie was not that bad, but it failed to keep up with the first two. The battle between Pyriel and Danyael wasn't really much of an excitement. The movie did not develop Pyriel's character properly. Prophecy II however was very action-filled and you really get involved. That was the best!

Movie Review: A great Conclusion
Summary: 5 Stars

being a big fan of this tril, I can honestly say this is about a thousand times better then the second one, though I thought it was okay, this is more deserving of the name... well worth the buy

Movie Review: I prophecie a better sequel may fly out of my...
Summary: 1 Stars

Prophecy and Prophecy II were both terrific films - Prophecy was filled with interesting touches that made the angels seem real, and Prophecy II swiped entire storylines from Terminator and The Crow and made them hugely entertaining (tremendous credit to Chris Walken as Gabriel). Prophecy 3 on the other hand is impossible to enjoy because there is no perceptible evolution of the characters. We know nothing about our teenage hero except that he is the nephilem conceived in II. Technically, his character does evolve, but since we never knew him before it is not really perceptable - the first and worst failure of the storyline. Several other characters are introduced, none of whom can be related to any better, they are so thinly drawn. As for the villain, Zophael is supposed to be an evil angel out to kill the teenage hero, but he looks more like he'd be on a mission to find some mousse and a good blow dryer. He falls flat. So much for the characters - can the story make up for their lack? Nope. Another God is about to show up and wipe the earth clean. It is not entirely clear why this other God was waiting around for a showdown with the hero. But he was. Before I condemn this film I want to add that Chris Walken returns, and is in the film a good amount, adding some cheer (I'm serious). But he is wasted in a film that has no central character, and doesn't define the characters it does have well enough to care about them. Throw in a random showdown, and you have a pathetic sequel to a great film series. Stick with I and II.

Movie Review: well, 4 and 1/2 stars
Summary: 5 Stars

ok, I got to say i was pleasantly surprised by this movie. After the lame prophescy 2, i thought this franchise was over. But they came back with a nice movie. The best part of this is not knowing which side is the good and which is the bad. THey keep you guessing. THe retrun of certain charecters from the original is a nice touch. IT is a worth seeing. though i don't think you need to see it on dvd, vhs is fine.
