While the producers of this "documentary" try hard to make their points, they fail miserably in the end not addressing the "rest of the story". This is, at best, a half-baked attempt to appease those whose minds are already made up. Arguments for "ID" are made, but certain important facts are ignored -- facts that would hurt their own arguments.
Get it if the subject interests you, but be sure to do more research on your own. You might find a much wider, much grander world opening before your eyes.
In other words, make up your own mind, but be sure you have *all* of the available evidence.
Summary of The Privileged Planet
Today, most scientists and philosophers claim that Earth is an ordinary speck of dust adrift, without purpose or significance, in a vast cosmic sea. This idea (popularized by the late astronomer, Carl Sagan) is an outgrowth of the naturalistic philosophy that has dominated science for the past 150 years.
