Movie Reviews of The Prestige [Blu-ray]

Movie Review: Excellent Blu-Ray movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my favorite blu-ray movie. It both shows off what HD can do and is a very fun story. I agree with the other reviewer who said you have to really "suspend belief" on this one. It's hard to follow because you constantly switch between present and flashbacks and aren't sure where you are sometimes, but it is none the less a great movie.

Movie Review: Well played
Summary: 5 Stars

The movie was a bit choppy, alot of shifting timeframes, but if you stick with it I think it was one of the better movies in recent years. Christopher Nolan's darkness protrudes through the scenes while Bale plays another terrific double character. I would recommend the movie to any of my friends and it plays wonderfully on blu-ray.

Movie Review: A GREAT FILM.....
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking forward to seeing the movie very much and it did not disapoint.
The story is told in such a way that I would have thought would be confusing, yet I found myself keeping up fine, kudos to the writer and director. I look forward to seeing it a second time with all the knowledge I gained from the first viewing.

Movie Review: Great Movie, Great Blu-Ray
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall the movie is great. Story is orginal and creative and keeps you thinking and wondering. Some blu-ray movies i've seen.. mostly the older ones.. had a hard time in dark scenes. This movie however, had everything crisp and clear from beginning to end. No noticeable grains at all.

Highly Recommended.

Movie Review: An awesome Blu-Ray Disc and Amazing film
Summary: 5 Stars

Really loved the film and loved the 50gb VC1 (aka MPEG-4) video codec transfer and Dolby Digital track was good as well. The Director's Diary featurette is in HD (a majority of the time) and is around 18mins long and there's also 3 picked favorite scenes in HD by the director that showcases the film and HD.
