Movie Review: What was Costner thinking with this turkey?
Summary: 1 Stars
This movie is an insult to anyone who has read the book upon which it is based (it's by David Brin and is several orders of magnitude better). I'm assuming that the scriptwriters read the back cover of the novel and extricated a script out of it. I actually could have forgiven the perversion of the original story (artistic license being what it is) if the movie was even the least bit watchable. It isn't. Too bad there isn't a No-Star rating. Don't waste your time with this exercise in futility. Read the original novel.
