Movie Review: A Favourite From My Childhood
Summary: 5 Stars
I was lucky enough to grow up with three older sisters. When, in 1971, one brought home a new album called 'The Point' I was instantly hooked. I watched the animated story on television and listened to the album many times. More recently, when I found that the animation was available on DVD, I decided I had to have it. It's a great story and amazing music. You owe it to yourself to hear it.Movie Review: The Point is excellent video

This wonderful TV special from the 70's is timeless and has great music by Harry Nihlssen (not sure of that spelling). The lesson is all about tolerance with lots of side issues of great value. I am thrilled to own this DVD. It brought back all kinds of memories for me - both the story AND especially the music. It is a perfect addition to my collection of movies for my grandchildren.Movie Review: This is great, but the original was greater!`

If I hadn't taped the original off my tv a million years ago (well, early 80s, when I got my first vcr), I'd think I was remembering wrong! DUSTIN HOFFMAN WAS THE ORIGINAL NARRATOR, and IMHO, he far surpassed Ringo! I guess they had Ringo dub it because it's of the same genre as Yellow Submarine. Anyway, still a great allegory for kids and us aging hippies alike!Movie Review: Entertaining

My husband was talking about how he use to watch this at his moms when he was a child. I have never seen it before, and went onto amazon looking for it. I got it in time for his Valentines Day present, he thought it was so cool. Our children love the movie as well, and he didn't even know it came on DVD. This is a delightful and pointed Animated piece for Children and Adults. The music is terrific, by Harry Nilsson, a shame we lost him so young. The narration is by Ringo Starr, who was always my favorite. Watch this with or without your kids or parents. Invite the neighbors so they won't complain when you turn the volume up. Me and My Arrow. Enjoy.
