The Point is as appropriate today as it was when I first saw it in 1971. I was a little concerned about how Ringo's narration would be compared to the original featuring Dustin Hoffman. Ah, little Oblio. Life is pretty tough when you don't have a point in the land where everything has a point. Join Oblio and his dog Arrow on the adventure of a lifetime - and enjoy the innovative animation and stellar soundtrack along the way. This is arguably Nilsson's finest.
This story is a classic that will warm your hearts and put a smile on your face. You'll likely want to name a pet after one of these characters before it's all over. (My parents were fans of this movie too, and I grew up with Arrow the miniature poodle as a result!)
Highly recommended for all ages. The story is all grown up, but the delivery transcends time and will enlighten generations to come.
