Movie Reviews of The PointMovie Review: Adults and Children Will Love! Summary: 5 Stars
This classic fully animated film narrarated by Ringo Star features some really great songs and is full of adventure. Travel with Oblio, the first boy born with a round head in a world of points, as he journies through the forgotten forest to try and find himself. The moral of this story: You don't have to have a point to have a point. Oblio takes his dog, aero, along and they encounter many interesting characters. A rock man, some singing fat ladies, a talking tree, and a mysteriously large hole are some of the things that they encounter along the way.
Movie Review: beautiful story Summary: 5 Stars
I've been searching this film for 25 years with subtitles in Dutch. Sometimes I heard one of the beautiful songs on the radio and I started searching again. At last I found the film at Amazone's, unfortunately without subtitles. In my memory it was a beautiful film for children. It didn't disapointed me, it is still as beautiful as 25 years ago, so it may be called a classicer! The drawings and the music are fabulous. It is a story for children about discrimination to learn them not to be narrow minded.
I think I have "a Point" here!
Movie Review: The Point Summary: 5 Stars
I received the product just after a month after I ordered it. Even though it was sent internationally I was a little disappointed in the delivery time.
The Point DVD The Point featured the original animation which was a big plus. The graphic on the cover lead me to think that it might have been updated and sterilised, but I was really happy to see that the original animation had just been converted to a very clear DVD quality.
Movie Review: It's Nothing Like Yellow Submarine, People Summary: 5 Stars
With the exception of The Pointed Man character, who is extremely reminescent of Jeremy Hillary Boob of YS fame, this film doesn't in any way resemble Yellow Submarine. The drawing style, use of more muted watercolors than the Peter Max glow of YS, and many other visual differences are plainly obvious. The two should not be lumped together just because a Beatle, Ringo, and friend, Harry Nilsson, of solo Beatles (Ringo and John) are directly involved.
It is utterly fantastic and required viewing for all humanity.
Movie Review: The Point! Summary: 5 Stars
Each of us made negativ experiences in his life, some are untrusty and feel themself pointless. To all these people is this little adventure the best medicine: You must trust life, there is nothing pointless on Earth! Take Your time, watch the film again, again and again... Don't worry, be happy!
I saw the film for the first time forty years ago... made the last years byself some negativ experiences... I needed "a little help from my friends", so I called for Oblio and Arrow... nice to have them all the time arround me...
