Very happy that I now own The Pirate Movie on DVD!
The DVD hasn't got any extras but a trailer but I love it anyway because it's the movie that is more important to me and I love watching this in widescreen!

Wow! I can't believe The Pirate Movie is finally on DVD! I've waited so long for it to come to DVD and now that it is I'm as happy as can be! This is in my humble opinion Kristy Mcnichol's best movie and she is good and Ted Hamilton and Christopher Atkins look sexy in their pirate garb! I remember watching this movie over an entire summer in the early 80's (HBO played repeats back then more than now if you can believe that). As I am a bit nostalgic for the good old days of my youth this movie brought back some great memories. Great quality. This one is very funny and songs are actually sung by the actors!
I have been waiting years for it to come out on DVD in the United States.

Saw the movie years ago when it first came out and my daughter and i both loved it. Bought one for her AND one for me. Lots of my family members loved it too. If you like quirkey, comedic, musical spoofs this is DEFINATELY for you. Good for the whole family and you can't say that very often anymore.
